Another new trick

Well, among the other tricks this 17 month old has learned, Jacob figured out how to play in the water any time he wants.

He also can climb down the ladder on the playset, push a chair over to investigate any high item he might be interested in, go down the stairs, and totally torture his sisters.

February

February went just as fast as January, except it had nicer weather.  We've spent many afternoons playing on the playground at Charlotte's school or in our backyard. The sandbox or "train" rides are popular options.

Sometimes Brantley, a neighbor who also attends Charlotte's school, will ride home with us.  They always have fun, but the cuteness level gets upped when his big sisters come and everyone grabs an instrument and they have an impromptu jam session.  Notice Savannah holding Paige like a baby and Paige soaking up every minute!

 The TV watching couch.

Watching Paige's "letter songs" on the "pad."

January

Our January was uneventful in the best kind of way.  There has been a lot of pajama time, a lot of playing, and a lot of rest.  Ahhhh....

Snow!

As a final treat, Midland decided to put on a wonderful snow show for us.  We got to watch it falling from inside a snugly warm house, then go out and run around in the morning.  The first day, both girls went.  At first, they both just crunched around.  I think it must have been so different to walk on from anything else they experienced; they walked and ran, and Charlotte jumped all around.  For the most part, Charlotte led the way and Paige followed.

Singing a song on a snowy stage.

The next day, Paige opted to stay in where it was warm, while Charlotte, Daddy, and I built a snowman and a snow fort.

Putting in a leaf for his mouth, then shaking his hand.

Snow angel!
