The view from the beach access bridge we crossed every day.
What daddy got to do as I watched our sweet kids run in joy towards the sand each morning:
The kids immediately got busy playing in the sand, which was so much softer than the sand we are used to playing in.
I asked them to stand together so I could take a picture of all of them. Jacob tried to stand up and join in, but the girls basically treated him like a nuisance and went around him so they could peacefully pose for "their" picture!
Didn't bother him one bit - he's handsome all on his own!
Jacob spent a considerable amount of time chasing the "dogs" and talking/yelling at them.
Paige played Ring Around the Rosie with sea weed
Neither Paige nor Jacob had any fear of the ocean. Paige was actually the first one to get in, and she spent the longest amount of time playing in the waves. They would knock her down and she would bounce right back up with a smile on her face and be ready for the next one.
Jacob was determined to get into the water, no matter that it went over his head. He continually charged the waves and was NOT content to play in the shallows. He wanted in! He also did not like it if you tried to hold him in the deeper part - he wanted down! Crazy baby!
Paige was fascinated that the moon was still out. She pointed it out multiple times.
The rockin' sandcastle we made for the animals and the ark.

Beach trip, pt.1
Right before Charlotte's school started, we decided to take advantage of everyone else already being in school and go to the beach. We went to South Padre and pretty much had it to ourselves. We rented a house about a half-block off the beach and had a blast.
Before we could get in the house, a storm blew through the area, so we went to a tourist trap known as Bob's to kill the rainy afternoon. They had giant statues out front and an arcade and souvenirs inside, all of which the girls loved!
We got in the house, played in the pool, and had a yummy spaghetti dinner.
