The best lakehouse game EVER

A great paved hill and two cars will keep these girlies entertained for an entire weekend!  They have so much fun chasing and racing and crashing into the giant Bucky's tube or the grass.  So simple, so easy, and so fun!

All that climbing back up the walkway will tire a poor kid out!  She was so tired she slept with her eyes open!

Making sandwiches

So Charlotte comes up to me at lunchtime and announces that she wants to make her pb&j.  I wanted to bonk myself - of COURSE she can make her own sandwich, how had it never occurred to me to have her try?  And Paige was quick to follow her big sister, obviously.  So once we got the peanut butter spread, I had them pose with the very first self-made sandwiches ever.  I love Paige's "cheese" face - she's so happy and so proud and trying so hard!

Her hands just look so small and chubby, such sweet toddler hands.  How are they big enough to put a sandwich together????

Delicious!

So much fun playing togther

As always, I am amazed at how everyone is really growing up.  The girls will now just come downstairs by themselves when they wake up, instead of laying in bed and yelling for a parent.  You can hear them giggling and fighting semi-quietly from upstairs most mornings now.  I came down the other morning to find them "camping".  So the chairs topped with a board are the campfire, and Paige is roasting her banana. Naked.  With goggles on.  Oh yes.

They also spend quite a bit of time together in the back yard.  Mostly they either play with princesses or fairies, or they pretend to be Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  Charlotte is always Jake and Paige is always "Cubby with the map". It's always fun to find dolls in your tomato plants.

Dress-up is still huge, especially in Paige's world.  She will go through three or four dresses in a 10 minute span (and then end up naked - be honest, you saw that coming).

Charlotte is really just a fantastic reader, and loves reading to both Jacob and Paige. I think P and J both like listening to her - Jacob had been crying, but he stopped when she brought her book closer.

Beautiful kids in the front yard

Cookies with Gigi

Giant gingerbread cookies+a visit from Gigi= happy girls!  Paige made a gingerbread girl and Charlotte made a gingerbread cat.  Because why not, I guess!

Jacob and his jumper

Jacob LOVES his jumper.  He will go to town in that thing while I make dinner.  It's hung in the doorway between the kitchen and the playroom, so he gets the best of both worlds - watching mom and watching his sisters.

I love his jumper because it keeps him safe and out of the way when there are three princesses and one very strong knight running around.
