Short-order cook

Charlotte is REALLY into playing with her babies right now. Usually she enlists Koby or me to man one baby and she has the other and we talk back and forth in high pitched voices.  It was so cute at first, but now she wakes up and immediately wants you to "be the giraffe." I'm not exaggerating, either - it's the first thing out of her mouth, maybe half a second after lifting her head off of her pillow.

I got lucky the other day and she was playing both by herself.  I took the risk of snapping a few shots of the pajama-clad chef because she looked so cute!  She immediately noticed what I was doing and I got roped into playing Woofster, the dog on the left.  Totally worth it for these cute pictures!

Catch up

It's been a busy past few weeks.  We had a scare with Paige mid-April. She was having some weird bruising and the pediatrician sent us to the ER, where she was diagnosed with a not uncommon condition called ITP.  Basically, her immune system got off-track from an exposure to a virus (like chicken pox) and her antibodies were attacking her platelets.  It put her at risk for internal bleeding for a short while, but resolved itself quickly and she is all better now.

I had LASIK eye surgery done at the end of April and it's awesome.  It didn't hurt at all, and I now have 20/15 vision, which is incredible to me, considering things got blurry about a foot and a half from my face. Between the two of us, there's been at least one doctor visit each week.  Yuck!

This past weekend Koby took both girls to the lakehouse - without me!  It is so exciting to think that this is now absolutelty doable.  I had my first weekend alllll to myself since Charlotte was born, and it was great.  I didn't do anything in particular, just enjoyed the ease of going places with no children in tow.

Besides waiting in doctors' offices, we've been hanging around Houston, playing in the nice weather. Charlotte has become obsessed with a pink folding stool I found for her.  I think it's become a favorite because she can access so many new things that were previously out of reach.  Paige is starting to interact more and more.  She came back from the lake clapping every time you say, "Yay, Paige!" She loves playing on the bed with Charlotte and playing peek-a-boo. They both love playing "balloons" with each other.

First teeth!

Paige officially has teeth!  They popped out about three weeks ago, after taking what seemed like months to work their way up and out.
