The first night we got to the lake, the girls had so much fun swinging and loving on each other.  It cracks me up how Paige kisses open-mouthed!

Then we went up on the upper deck to run around for a while.  They loved it up there!

 

Charlotte decided to "play" with Paige, which consisted of grabbing her leg and basically tackling her.  Paige eventually gave in to the "game" and laid her head down. 

Charlotte ran up to me, breathless, and asked if I wanted to hear a story.  Then she pushed her hair back and told me a very serious, very hard to follow tale of a turtle.

This just proves you're never too old to really enjoy a big plate of spaghetti.

Lots and lots of photos

This is the first part of many, many pictures I took at the lakehouse the first weekend in October.  We invited our small group out for the weekend, and the girls and I went down early to get everything set up.  Once the work was done, I dressed the girls up to try and get some good pictures of them to mark the passage of another month. Charlotte is two months shy of being 3 years old, and Paige is 15 months.  Crazy!

They are so sweet together.  Charlotte was hugging and kissing on Paige all weekend long.  Sometimes Paige liked it, other times she mostly just tolerated it.  I have to apologize - these pictures may seem repetitive (and out of order), but I have the hardest time choosing my favorite of them and purposely err on the side of too many. 

They had so much fun swinging together, and Charlotte kept holding on to Paige so she wouldn't fall.  I love watching her take care of Paige!

I just have to say - Charlotte isn't actually posing here although it does look like it.  Really, she was goofing around and making funny faces and this one came across as almost normal!

Paige, of course, kept watching Charlotte and wanting to copy what she was doing. 

After playing in the grass for a while, we went up to the top deck to run around and play.  I have lots more pictures of Paige since she's still not walking.  Most everything I got of Charlotte is a blur of running.  She does love to run!
