Little sister stuff

Paige has hit that age where she wants to do EVERYTHING Charlotte does.  She watches her like a hawk.  I didn't realize just how much she's been copying her lately until I noticed that at the table, when they are eating, Paige watches her and eats whatever Charlotte does, when Charlotte does.  She even drinks water when Charlotte does!  It's so funny and sweet to watch, and it has gotten Picky Paige to try more things on her plate, like broccoli and asparagus.  Now Paige will choose to eat them on her own!

It's not just copying what Charlotte does in the moment, though.  Paige is obssessed with putting on undies just like Charlotte.  All day long, Paige will come out of the toy room with a handful of Charlotte's panties and layer them on her legs. Once she had 6 pair on one leg. It's cute, unless you're the one constantly picking up underwear all over the house.  What IS still cute for me is watching Paige try to walk around after she gets the panties on.  She wants to be just like sister!

Swing set

After talking about it for about a year, we finally went ahead and got a swingset, right in time for beautiful weather.  It was amazingly simple to put together, and we had help every step of the way.  The girls had lots of fun supervising and assisting in the construction, but they've had even more fun playing on it pretty much every day since it went up!

Twirling on a new swing

How do you know a twirly swing is good?  You're too dizzy to stand at the end!

Paige isn't strong enough to hold on yet, so she hangs out in the sand box and dumps as much sand outside the box as possible before Mommy notices what she's doing.

Dressed up just 'cuz we can

We dressed up one morning just because the weather in February was beautiful and we could.  The girls were so excited to wear "princess" dresses - they both kept playing with the skirts.

This picture is of Paige right before she took off down the sidewalk.  I think she must have been telling Charlotte to chase her.  So happy to be outside with nice weather!

Making messes with Daddy

Look at those happy girls making a mess with Daddy in the garage!  Best use of shredded paper I've seen in a while.  Like playing in the snow, only less wet.

Garden time

The end of February had some fabulous weather and we spent as much time outdoors as possible.  That meant lots to do in the garden, especially weeding.  Luckily I had two little helpers to teach me the importance of throwing away your weeds instead of piling them in a bucket.  They had so much fun unloading that bucket!

The nice weather also meant there were some peas to pick, much to Charlotte's delight.  She's probably eaten at least a pound of them.  She always tries to share with Paige, but Paige doesn't really like them.  She'll usually eat one, chew on it for a while, then spit it out all down her chin and shirt.  But Paige LOVES to pick stuff from the garden, whether she is supposed to or not.  Right in between two kale plants is her favorite spot.  She pulls the tops off the leaves and scatters them around the yard, or piles them on a little red plastic table we have in the back yard.
