But not this time. She was trying to crawl through a hole that was a bit too small and it got stuck on her diaper and tipped and she ended up getting so tangled up. Boy was she mad about it! Of course, she got even more furious when I started taking pictures and Charlotte came to give her a pep talk about how it was going to be ok and she didn't need to cry. Don't worry, after a few snaps I got her out, safe and sound.

New teeth (finally!)
Several months after her first two teeth popped out on her bottom jaw, Paige has gotten a matching set on the upper jaw. Hooray! She's up to a total of 4 at 13 months.
Also, just for sweet memories, in this picture we're playing one of Paige's favorite games right now - peek-a-boo. She covers her eyes and I say, "Where's Paige?" twice and she uncovers her eyes. She gets the biggest smile and I don't mind playing over and over just to see it.

Lake trip
The first weekend in August we went to the lake with some friends who also have young kids (the Tarvers and the Wallers). We had so much fun, as always, BUT! That's not the big news about this lake trip. Charlotte surprised both Koby and I this weekend by choosing to swim all by herself! Yay!
Normally, before this weekend, she would clutch our finger, hand, arm, whatever she could grab onto when in the water, despite having floaties on her arms. Any time we pried her off of us to show her she could float, she would scream bloody murder and basically freak out. Hard core. So imagine my surprise when I took her and Paige out to swim in the lake the day before Koby and everybody else came down and she told me, "Let go, Mom!" (As if I was the one holding on to her...) And after she took off by herself, she did NOT want me to hold her at all!
She paddled all around the lake like she'd been doing it all her life. It was so much fun to watch her! At one point, she watched a boat speed by, then told me, " I can catch that boat. Come on mommy, swim with me and get that boat!" So much confidence!
Riding the jet ski with daddy.
After they got back from their ride, they went swimming. Charlotte helped Daddy put sunscreen on his back. Definitely not going to burn...
Paige hung out with mommy while they rode the jet ski and ate pretzels, then played in the swimming pool. Don't you just love those faces she makes?
Play time
Sisters having fun together - Charlotte is blowing raspberries on Paige's stomach, and Paige is bonking Charlotte on the head with her bottle. Fun!
Fun with food
What proper documentation of Paige's childhood wouldn't include the obligatory messy food-covered pictures? We have mashed potatoes above, followed by yogurt, chocolate pudding, and red beans and rice (which she loved - ate 3 helpings and finished off Charlotte's as well!). Shamefully, I have forgotten to take a picture every spaghetti night. I plan to remedy that soon!

The toys get a party, too!
Phone dump from Koby's phone
And now to get a few from Koby's phone. Turns out I should have checked his phone last year - the first pic is from we were still in the hospital after Paige was born. It's a selfie from what I'm guessing is her first day on earth, considering she's still wrapped up in the hospital blanket. Whoops!
Swinging with baby Kaitlyn.
Playing with Parks at Derek's house, and finally realizing I'm taking pictures of them.
Snuggles and hugs in mama's lap.
Playing in the pool at the lake.
Sister time first thing in the morning.
Practicing pulling up on the coffee table - this is from just a few days ago and it's so exciting because it's really the first time she's pulled up on her own. (Not that she couldn't before, she just wasn't interested I think.)

Phone dump
So, I was looking at some pictures on Koby's phone this last weekend and realized I hadn't uploaded our phone pics for quite a while and there were many that I'd like to remember. Thus this post. These go back several months. This post is from my phone and tomorrow I'll put up the pictures from Koby's phone, so if you are looking at the blog from an extremely slow loading server, you may want to skip it - there are LOTS of pictures!
First bath together
Paige crawling around and getting stuck under the chair
Picnic in the park (one of many!)
Paige in the ER when she had some issues with her platelets. She had several blood tests done, so she had a horrible big-girl blood draw done. They left some part of it in her arm, so they had to splint her elbow.
Amazingly, she was happy through most of our stay!
The finish line at the MS150. And a beer afterwards!
Hanging out with "King Louie" at the zoo.
Lyle Lovett and Robert Earl Keen in San Antonio - it was awesome!
A visit from Aunt Katherine! So much fun to see her.
Happy sisters playing at the lakehouse while mommy and daddy are on a cruise.
Sticks. The new obsession. Our walks were never fast before, but they are downright snail-paced now that Charlotte has discovered the joy of breaking sticks into little pieces.
First time bowling, Charlotte got a strike. No joke. (OK, I helped her push it in the right direction, but still!)
Bubble fun, and sharing a popsicle with Paigey Paige afterwards.
Calling Tyler (the neighbor boy) on Uncle Ryan's old ipod.
Teaching doggie the letters
Reading with Aunt Bonnie
First canoe ride
Playing in the ball pit is Paige's new favorite thing to do. She LOVES it!
Playing at the Children's Museum, one of our favorite places to go when it's too hot or too cold to go outside.
Paige randomly decides she's going to climb up the stairs and makes pretty darn good progress! It was so fun to watch her. Growing up!
