The first meeting

Charlotte met Paige on her second day of life.  I was a little nervous to have an unpredictable toddler near my c-section scar. We really had no idea what to expect from Charlotte, and I have to say she blew me away with her reaction to Paige.

She loved her!  She was fascinated by her! She pointed to her hands, to her ears, her hair, everything.  She called her "sister" from the start.  My heart was so full of love for Charlotte, for the amazing little person she is.

Eventually the new wore off of seeing the baby and Charlotte started entertaining herself with things in the room, most notable the ballon from a flower arrangement and some snack foods my mom had brought from home.

 

Soon enough nap time rolled around for Charlotte.  She had done so well that I wanted to let her hold the baby before she left.  She was so precious and delicate with her.  She gently patted her tummy, then put her other arm around her, saying, "Hug, hug," and gave her a kiss! What a big girl and sweet sister!
