This year it was a simple celebration for Charlotte's second birthday. We invited three of her friends, Adeline, Parks, and Cana, over for a pancake breakfast. The pancakes were actually cake batter with sprinkles. Cake for breakfast - perfect!
The first thing Charlotte said when she came downstairs after waking up was, "Balloons!" She immediately ran over and began playing with them.
Once everyone got to the house, we all had candles in our pancakes to blow out. Thank goodness one of the moms mentioned that I might want to take a picture of her blowing them out - I totally forgot! Notice the three other candles on her plate. All the kids had lots of fun blowing out their candles.

After breakfast, there was lots of playing. We went outside and played with some cloud dough (flour and baby oil), came back in and put stickers on balloons, then used the balloons to pop bubbles. And of course played with Charlotte's gifts. The inflatable ball pit from Uncle Ryan was a big hit! All in all, I think Charlotte had a great time. The small size was perfect - it wasn't overwhelming for Charlotte or me. She ran around and played and didn't stop smiling the whole time!
