Play time!

Paige usually "plays" with Charlotte whether she wants to or not.  Boy, I sure hope she wants to once she gets mobile, or Charlotte's heart might get broken - she loves her missy Paigey Paigey.  (That's the nickname she's given her.)

When Paige is unavailable, Charlotte misses having a playmate, I think.  She was giving her bear a cookie and a bottle when I came back from putting Paige down for a nap, then decided the T-Rex needed some broccoli.  Then she offered some to the spikey fish laying on the ground.

She's also been into lining things up, like her letters on the fridge.  You'd think things would stay neat, but usually after lining them up, she swipes them all off of the fridge and onto the floor.

Apparently I haven't learned my lesson about leaving things in her reach, because I was painting a sign when Charlotte, then Paige, woke up, so I dropped what I was doing to get Char a bottle, then go feed Paige.  Well, I walked into the livingroom after taking care of Paige to see Charlotte holding the large bottle of acrylic paint I had been using completely upside down, pouring the paint onto her hand (and the table and carpet). My brain blanked and I just started screaming, "No! NO! NO! NO!" over and over. Poor Charlotte had never seen me react that way to anything and started crying.  She held out her hand and said, "Dis hand dirty!" Amazingly, the paint came out of the carpet just fine.  Thank goodness - what's the point of getting a new rug with two toddlers in my future?!
