I baked a cake the night before, and when you came downstairs from waking up, you were so surprised to find ballons at the table. You were so excited! Although the picture looks pink, your cake was actually light purple.
The balloons were the best part, until you got close enough to see the dinosaurs all around the table. You exclaimed, "Dinosaurs!" with the biggest grin on your face and immediately went to look at them. After you noticed them, I don't think you noticed anything else. They were, by far, the best part of your birthday as far as you were concerned. Especially once you saw the T-Rex.
"Look, Dad, a Tyranosaurus!"
You then passed out dinosaurs to everyone and insisted they play Dinosaur with you. Paige was thrilled that you gave her one too.
After a few minutes, we redirected you to the table and the cake. Since the candles were lit the whole time, we had hoped to blow them out sooner rather than later. You did not care one whit about the cake; in fact, us sitting you in your chair only made more dinosaurs available to be played with. We practically had to make you pay attention enough to blow out your candles, which you did, only to immediately return to playing with the dinosaurs.
We cut pieces of breakfast cake for all of us (you of course got the biggest piece) but you did not even try it. Instead, your dinosaurs had a bite.
Finally I hand-fed you a bite and you took over. Then we opened a few presents, which you thought were cool enough, then continued on with the dinosaurs for the rest of the day. They have been a big hit ever since. I would just like to point out: T-resx is supervising your present-opening. Welcome to three, Charlotte!
