Jackson Hole, part 2

As if the beauty of Yellowstone weren't enough for the day, on the (hour and a half) drive back to Jackson Hole, we got to see a stunningly delicate sunset.  We pulled over on the side of the road just for this picture - the sun setting over the Grand Tetons, with a ranch at the base of the mountain.  Amazing.  I'm sad to say, the picture didn't quite capture the color of the sunset.  It wasn't the typical hot pink and deep orange that I'm used to seeing.  It was almost pastel.  Very cool.

As we were driving, I couldn't help but try to take more pictures from the moving car.  This is a log "cabin" villlage at the foot of some pre-mountainous hills.  Then a shot of the moon rising as the edges of the sunset colors reach toward it. How many times can I say amazing?

After snowmobiling all day, we went out for dinner dressed in our "cheesy Christmas" finest.  There were sweaters, sweater vests, regular vests, t-shirts, a snuggie cut into a shirt, and even feetie 'jamas!  Basically, a bunch of awesomeness.  We got many, many looks, and a few laughs.  I think mostly we just laughed at ourselves, especially when it came time for the family photo.  We tried to be as awesomely bad as possible.

The last full day we had, we enjoyed a wagon-ride through the local elk preserve.

We saw mostly male elk, as the females were farther away, but at the very end, we rode right up to a tree where a balk eagle was checking us out!
