Paige is walking!

I am SO happy to write that Paige is walking!  Let me say that again: Paige is walking!

She took her first actual solo steps over Thanksgiving, in Oma Patsy's front livingroom.  Koby had basically tricked her into walking - he would ofer his hand for her to hold on to, then slowly move it out of her reach right in front of her so that she would follow him, reaching for his hand. Then Oma bribed her with a cookie, and she started walking without a hand in front of her.  It was so exciting to watch!

I thought she would take off, but she didn't.  She wouldn't choose to walk, we would have to trick her each time, and she caught on fast to that.  So she had the ability to walk all through December but didn't really use it.

Then, over the trip to Jackson Hole, my mom told me she was walking all over the place.  Let me tell you, there wasn't even a little part of me that was sad to miss it.  I was so happy to hear about it that it didn't matter.  And as it turns out, it's a good thing she got over the "no walking" thing - the pediatrician told me she missed some neurological testing by about a month (if she hadn't walked by 18 mo, she would have wanted to run them).

But we all know that nothing is wrong with sweet Paige, she is just stubborn and fully intent on doing things in her own time.  And it must be the time to walk, because she is all over the place!  And it is awesome!
