(Ok, this is about a month behind reality. Really right now he's almost two months old! I can't seem to keep up with current events on the blog, but I'm trying to at least get them in here - if for nothing else, so I can remember when I'm old and gray, or a month from now...)
Look at that happy baby watching football with daddy! Ok, really he's gassy, so it's not actually a smile, but that's irrelevant. And, no, they aren't watching Tennessee, they just happen to be matching in orange.
Jacob has had a really great first month. He has just kind of slipped into our family. I've not tried to impose any kind of schedule, but amazingly, he seemingly has put himself on the natural rhythm of our family all by himself. In general, the girls go to bed around 8 and wake up around 7:30. Well, Jacob usually conks out right around 8 and wakes up between 6 and 7. Crazy! But convenient!
I wonder if he's going to be very social (ahem, like D or Uncle Caleb...) because he is already starting to smile and coo at me any time I catch his eyes. I don't recall the girls starting this until around 2 months old. He just seems very...interactive. I guess we'll see eventually!
He, of course, is a blend of the two girls, but we think he favors Charlotte more.
Arrrr, he be a pirate!
